Activities
Here you can learn more about activities the initiative led to advance the narrative of climate migrant communities and examples of activities that others can use to collaborate with these communities to advance their priorities through community building, education, and research.

Workshop
Disrupting Bias in Research
through Intergenerational
and Community Methods
We led a workshop at the Advancing Informal STEM Learning (AISL) program Awardee Meeting. In the workshop, participants received an introduction to our community science research project on climate migration and how project leaders can actively center community members and priorities to ensure community-driven work and impacts
Participants engaged in hands-on activities to unpack bias, use trauma informed design approaches, and refine research questions for equitable approaches. These exercises can be applicable in research, community engagement, education, advocacy, and communication strategies across science and non-science organizations.
