Disrupting Bias in Research through Intergenerational and Community Methods Workshop
Exploring Migrant Narratives in Climate Change Research

We led a workshop at the Advancing Informal STEM Learning (AISL) program Awardee Meeting. In the workshop, participants received an introduction to our community science research project on climate migration and how project leaders can  actively center community members and priorities to ensure community-driven work and impacts.

We will soon release the activity, so it can be used by others in their work!

Disrupting Bias

Participants engaged in hands-on activities to unpack bias, use trauma-informed design, and refine project questions for advancing equitable approaches to research and collaboration with climate migrant communities.

Equitable Approaches

These exercises can be applicable in research, community engagement, education, advocacy, and communication strategies across science and non-science organizations.

Workshop Access and Presentation

We will soon be releasing the workshop in a short and long version, so other researchers, educators, practitioners, and community members can use it.
